Breakfast was the letdown: hardly any choice and too much processed food. They really missed the mark there. The rest was nearly perfect, with clean, fairly modern rooms, comfortable beds, and hot water in the shower. It's an idyllic spot right on the beach, and the staff were friendly and the service excellent.

I was charged 17,500 baht for the two nights. When I booked, I arranged to switch rooms halfway through the stay, and the booking page showed just one cancellation deadline. I cancelled soon afterward when I could no longer travel, then learned the second room had a no-cancellation rule that hadn't been shown. A policy like that is fair enough if it's advertised clearly. The hotel also ignored my cancellation requests, sent multiple times, and said they hadn't received them. The service through this exchange was avoidant: they said they'd call me back, but never did. I wouldn't recommend them.

The restaurant is really nice, the Thai food is good, and the beach is beautiful. We've been coming to Siam beach for years, and the twins brother who work in the restaurant have always been friendly to us. It's the reception staff who let the place down. They're rude and impolite, with no hello, thank you, or even a smile. If you don't want to speak to people, hospitality probably isn't the job for you. I hope the owner sees this and makes an effort to address how the receptionists treat guests.

The cleaning staff and kitchen service were the bright spot: they were polite, quick, and did their jobs very well. I can't recommend the hotel, though, because management didn't protect guests or control access to the beach and grounds. We arrived pleased with our room and its beautiful sea view. It was quite good, and at first everything seemed promising. Then people who didn't appear to be hotel guests came in with bikes and backpacks. They took over the beach, and some went up to the houses to use water to wash themselves. I saw people entering through the hotel grounds with their bikes. When I complained, reception agreed this broke hotel policy, but nothing changed. The next morning more people showed up early and occupied much of the space, making it hard for us, as paying guests, to find a place. We asked to speak with the manager, and the receptionist said she was the manager. After we explained again, she called the same staff member we'd spoken to the day before. They said they couldn't do anything if people came in from the beach, even after I described seeing them enter with their bikes. They kept asking for my room number, which felt inappropriate and frustrating. I suggested checking whether the random people on the grounds were actually guests instead of questioning paying customers. We were then told we could leave if we didn't like it. I can't understand telling guests paying 90 euros a night to go, while outsiders use the facilities for free. Only after that confrontation did the receptionist go out to look. She then said no one was there at that moment. Do guests have to film obvious rule-breaking to prove it?
