Kokhaburi Hotel

It's a little drive from central Lampung, but easy to reach from the main highway and well worth the detour. The room was roomy and spotless, the bed was comfortable, and breakfast was good. There's also a large flat-screen smart TV, and the price is reasonable. I'd stay here again when I'm in the area. Thanks.

If you're traveling by car, this Lanna-style hotel is a good option, though it's about a 15-minute drive from Lampang city. The beds were super comfortable and the facilities felt new. Breakfast was decent, with one main dish plus unlimited toast and coffee rather than a buffet. The staff made a great impression and were very accommodating. A perfect place to stay in Lampang.

The owner was friendly, and the rooms were new and spacious, but the staff and service were very disappointing. The hotel had only been operating for a few months, and it showed. Consider carefully before booking if standard hotel service matters to you. Our check-in was supposed to start at 2 pm, but when we arrived at 4:30 pm, the front desk said our rooms weren't ready and then left us standing with our luggage. We had booked superior rooms, and when we asked what they would do, they offered deluxe rooms instead, even though the delay was the hotel's fault. They said they couldn't contact us because we'd booked through Agoda and told us to take it up with the agent. They seemed to prefer dealing with the agent instead of the guests. The front desk staff were rude, had a poor attitude, and didn't acknowledge their mistakes or apologize. Management also seemed poor, and the staff didn't appear well trained or able to handle problems. There was no elevator or bellhop, so we had to carry our own bags to the second and third floors. The entrance from the main street is small and a bit odd, and the hotel sits hidden behind another building, so it's hard to spot. With the same room rate, I think you can book somewhere with better service and a higher star rating. The hotel needs a lot of work on service, and in my opinion it could take at least a year of proper staff training. If you can overlook the rude staff and service issues, it may be fine to stay here. Otherwise, look elsewhere.
