El Greco Bungalows

The best part of our five days on Koh Lanta was the owner, Spiros. He went out of his way to help us have a great time, booking tours, arranging a motorbike that could be dropped right outside our room, and organising our airport ride when we left. One of the friendliest hosts I’ve met. The rooms are cozy, with welcome AC and a big comfortable bed. Across the street is the lovely, pretty uncrowded Klong Dao beach. The on-site Greek restaurant is a great bonus too, with delicious, healthy food and a very nice breakfast. It was good to take a break from Thai food sometimes. Highly recommend this place if you’re visiting Koh Lanta!

It’s in a good spot near the beach, but the bungalow was poorly insulated, so noises came through very loudly. We put up the mosquito net, but the mosquitoes still got inside and spoiled our night’s sleep.

The food deserves 10 out of 10, and the owners are terrific. Such an amazing place, a must if you’re in Lanta.

Spiro and Maria welcomed us with iced water after our journey and showed us to the bungalow. The bed was a very comfortable two metres square, and there was a fridge, kettle, mugs and glasses. Water with ice was freely available too. We had an ensuite shower and a nice terrace where we watched the monkeys over morning tea. Breakfast was excellent, and so were the evening meals. Don’t miss the lamb gyros. The beach is lovely and just 100 metres away, and the whole area is great. We couldn’t fault the place and would love to return.
