Good Days Lanta Beach Resort

We stayed at three hotels on Koh Lanta, with Gooddays Lanta Beach Resort first. The others didn't come close to giving us the same feeling. Its location made an impression as soon as we arrived. The resort sits directly on the beach, and a stream alongside it makes the beach feel private at high tide. The setting is peaceful, natural, and grounding. The atmosphere invites you to slow down and be present, just what we wanted. The resort is relaxed and quiet, a good fit for families, couples, and solo travellers looking for a calm stay close to nature rather than somewhere noisy or overly commercial. Everything seems thoughtfully arranged and suited to its surroundings. We especially loved the wildlife. During our stay we saw geckos, a monitor lizard, hermit crabs, tropical birds, and local cats and dogs. Watching crabs cross the sand in the moonlight is something we'll never forget. It felt as though the island was welcoming us instead of us simply visiting. Gooddays is clearly environmentally conscious, with recycling stations around the resort, which mattered a lot to us. We felt connected to both nature and the local community. We even picked up rubbish we came across because we wanted to respect the place and support the wonderful staff and locals who clearly care deeply about it. The staff deserve special mention. Everyone we met was kind, friendly, and helpful, always with a genuine smile. A special thank you to Book, who was considerate and efficient when we decided to extend our stay. He quickly arranged our room move and made the change stress-free, which we appreciated. Our room was fantastic and much larger than expected, with a huge king-size bed, an extra single bed, and spotless cleanliness. The shower had excellent water pressure, especially impressive on an island. There was no TV, but we didn't need one. We spent time instead on the spacious balcony, which was nicely set up with floor cushions, a table, and chairs. It was an ideal spot to sit, listen to the surroundings, and simply relax. The fridge was a good size, and the water and toilet paper were reliably replenished every day. One lovely surprise was hearing the local call to prayer. It added a peaceful, meaningful part to the experience and made us feel even more connected to where we were staying. We left feeling truly grateful. Gooddays was more than a hotel; it felt like a place that inspires respect for nature, connection to the island, and kindness to others. We were very happy there and will definitely return.
