I spent four nights here, and the room had good AC, a small fridge, a smart TV, and the basic facilities. The bed was nice to sleep in. Klong Khong is a great spot for quiet sunset watching, and the beachfront is lovely with shade from a big tree. The water was clear, though there were some rocks.

We stayed in a clean, comfy bungalow right on the beach. There’s a lovely restaurant and bar on the beach, and a great massage available on site. The only downside is that getting into the water can be quite hard at low tide.

This was easily our worst hotel experience during the month we spent in Thailand. There were cracks in the floor large enough to let in light and crawling critters. Every morning we had to wash down the bathroom floor because of an ant infestation. The toilet kept leaking, so our feet got wet whenever we used it. There are much nicer places at much lower prices. Do your research and book ahead so you don’t get stuck with what was left on the island like we did.

We’re leaving after less than 24 hours because staying here feels unacceptable. The strong, unpleasant odor doesn’t seem normal, and I’m concerned there may be bacteria inside the air-conditioning system or even mold causing it. This is now a matter of basic hygiene and health for us. Please be very cautious, especially with the standard rooms. If your health matters to you, think twice before booking here. This has been deeply disappointing and unacceptable. We’d just spent two wonderful weeks elsewhere on Koh Lanta at Clean Beach Resort, which I can highly recommend. This new place was a complete shock by comparison. The welcome wasn’t friendly, and later, when my friend had checked out after arriving earlier, they refused to open the room door for me, even though my ID was at reception and we were both officially checked in. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional. The room itself was a shock. The online photos show a charming, cozy-looking wooden bungalow that seems well maintained, but the real room was worn, neglected, and not properly cleaned. There were holes in the walls, spider webs and spiders everywhere, and visible dirt. Behind the dirty bathroom mirror was unidentified dirt that looked like insect droppings, with small particles crumbling onto the sink. It looked like the area hadn’t been cleaned properly in a long time and raised serious concerns about hygiene and the run-down state of the place. It didn’t match what I’d expect from a three-star resort. There was also a very strong vinegar-like smell as soon as we entered, and the air conditioning wasn’t working properly, making things worse in this climate. I travel often and have stayed in standard accommodation around the world. I don’t expect luxury, but I’ve never been so disappointed. This isn’t about high expectations. The room felt dirty throughout, and the photos did not represent its actual condition.

Take it easy and enjoy the waves washing away your stress. This is a quiet seaside resort on a wind-swept sandy beach, with bungalows for families and small single rooms to suit a wide range of budgets. It’s clean and right on the beach, though it could use a bit of upkeep. It’s not posh or ritzy, and the maintenance isn’t pressing when the beach is right there.
