Veranda Lanta Resort

We stayed in a comfortable room for three, and the price was reasonable. The hotel is about 200 m from the main road and 300 m from the beach. It’s a five-minute walk to 7 Eleven, the mosque, and Big C Mini, with lots of halal restaurants nearby. Owner Mr Faris is a very nice person. There’s easy parking for big bikes if you’re travelling as a group. The room has all the basics, and halal breakfast is provided.

We had a really good time at Veranda Lanta Resort and would gladly stay there again. Our spacious, comfortable room was a nice place to unwind after island days, and the clean pool shared with the neighbouring resort was great for cooling off. The rooms and pool were kept tidy. The family running the resort were lovely and helpful. The man and his daughter speak enough English, and they sorted day trips, affordable laundry, scooter rental, and rides at a fair price, about what a taxi costs. Getting a lift was easier than walking out to the main road to find one. It’s about a 15-minute walk to Klong Noen Beach, with lots of restaurants and bars. A couple of pleasant little places to eat are much closer, which was handy in the evenings. Breakfast was simple and tasty: fresh fruit, eggs, fried rice and toast. One thing I’d have liked was a fridge stocked with water, soft drinks and Chang. We went to 7eleven most days to fill up our mini fridge. It’s a relaxed spot with good value, within reach of the beach and nightlife.

The family who run this place are so welcoming, and breakfast each morning was delicious, with fresh fruit and tea and coffee freely available. I stayed 11 nights. My room was clean and modern, with a really comfortable bed, and the pool was clean too, surrounded by lovely green plants. It’s quiet, away from the noisy roads, but still not far from the local 7/11 or the beach. I can’t recommend it enough!

My bungalow was clean and reasonably comfortable, and staff were nice. The Wi-Fi worked fine, and this is a quiet place with very good value for money. It’s only about a four-minute walk to the beach. At the main road, continue straight into the small lane opposite. After roughly 100 yards, there’s a footbridge on the left to the main beach, which you reach from behind Ilmare Resort. There’s also a second, smaller beach. From the main road, walk to the mosque and take the lane along its north side. The hotel seems to take up both sides of the street. I say seems because the other side has a different hotel name on its sign, though the pool is there and is part of Veranda, so I assume the two sides are now one property.
