Phi Phi Harbour View Hotel

The room and its view were beautiful, with a very comfortable bed, and housekeeping cleaned it thoroughly every day. The pool is big and attractive, right on the beach, though the loungers could use an update. It’s also a handy spot, about a five-minute walk from the pier. It can get loud outside until around 2:00 AM because the island is such a party place. We could also hear people talking, calling, and playing music through a shared corridor between rooms. The air conditioning was noisy even on its lowest setting, but earplugs helped with the outside noise. Breakfast finishes at 10:00 AM, which seemed early to us. We also found it odd to get a 10:30 AM call reminding us to check out by 11:00. A good option for a few days if you’re okay with some noise. 👌🏼😊

The hotel’s location is excellent, and the rooms we saw were clean and modern enough. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and breakfast was really good. We’d been concerned by some reviews, but our experience turned out to be the opposite. I suspect management changed or renovations happened in the past two years. One issue was that there were many young Israeli guests. Some, though not all, were loud and inconsiderate of quiet hours. Even so, I’d recommend the hotel for its good points and location, while suggesting they rethink their target guest group.

We’re Canadians and came over to Phi Phi from Railay. On our first visit to the island, this hotel worked out perfectly. Everything is close by, and the rooms and facilities were spotless. Breakfast was included and covered all the basics well. The staff deserve a special mention: they were cheerful, friendly, and always asked how our day was going. Being so central was handy when we needed the bathroom. We even ran back from the harbour while waiting for our ferry, and they welcomed me in again with open arms, haha. The bathroom was clean, too.

The pool was nice and the location convenient, but I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The room lighting was very poor, and the beds felt like concrete. They demanded 3,000 baht for a clothing stain and said they’d tried cleaning it, though they knew they hadn’t. Staff weren’t helpful or understanding. We took it to an independent laundry cleaner, who cleaned it for 600 baht. There were lots of stray cats around reception, and the gym was outdated and unusable.
