Villa 360 Resort and Spa (SHA Certified)

We came back from the Phi Phi town centre after dark at low tide, and the walk from the drop-off point to the hotel wasn't very pleasant. Be mindful of tide times. The village is within walking distance and has lovely cafes and bars, with really nice local people. There's also a northern part of the island with more cafes and bars, which we wish we'd discovered sooner. My girlfriend and I stayed at Villa 360 in July 2023, and I loved the visit. A staff member met us at Tonsai Pier and arranged our transfer. Reception overlooks the bay, and everyone there was incredibly friendly and welcoming. We were taken to our bungalow at the top of the estate after check-in. The room was better than I expected, especially the bathroom, which felt like something out of a movie. The bathtub looks out over the bay, making for a very relaxing bath. Room service always arrived on time, and I never felt I waited too long. We were there for my birthday, and I appreciated the surprise birthday cake. There was some wildlife around the estate, including a monkey that visited us a few times, which my girlfriend loved. The one downside was the restaurant. It felt a bit lacklustre compared with the rest of the resort, and the food could be improved, though I still liked it. Staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back when we visit Thailand in 2025.

The breakfast was pretty limited, and the prices felt high for what the resort offered. We liked being right by the sea, but service disappointed us and the air conditioning never cooled the room enough. Getting out was awkward too: my husband had to wade through the water and over rocks. After sunset, bring a torch and watch for crabs. I wouldn’t suggest it for older guests.

The hotel looked nothing like the online pictures, and the food was disgusting. My aunt and I were moved three times. First the air conditioning didn’t work. Then at 2 a.m. we found a big rat in our room and had to wait with it for five hours, until 8 a.m., before being moved. We didn’t sleep at all, and the staff member just laughed when we were terrified and asked for help. On the last night, we were moved again because there were lots of lizards in the room. We stayed there, since they weren’t as bad as the rat. When my aunt asked the manager for some compensation, he grabbed her arm. We have video of it. She was only asking for a refund or some free drinks after all the room changes and such awful service. We’ll never come back. Worst hotel ever.

The breakfast buffet was the best I’ve had at any hotel in Thailand, with lots of tasty options, including steamed buns. We also enjoyed the room service, which was delicious. Our room was huge, and the view from both the room and the bathtub was breathtaking. The tub could comfortably fit two people. The minibar came stocked with a wide variety of food and drinks, all free. Staff were very helpful and spoke English well, and arranged all the activities we wanted to do on phi phi Island. Longtail boats run throughout the day to and from tonsai pier. Let the staff know and you can ride for free. Private taxi boats charge around 1200 baht.
