Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa Ko Samet

The beach is clean and quiet, with a little paradise feel, and the rooms were spotless, comfortable, and had everything we needed. Breakfast had plenty of choices and was delicious, with the ocean right there to look out at. The friendly staff were always smiling and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa is a peaceful place to recharge in nature, especially for couples. Highly recommend it, and can’t wait to come back! 🌴☀️💙

The beach is beautiful, the grounds are nice, and the rooms are well maintained. But the way we were treated was disrespectful, especially for guests paying $200+ a night, so I’m giving one star. A staff member who introduced himself as “Not” was rude and dismissive, then lost his composure over a simple taxi request. The manager, an older woman as she was introduced to us, showed clear bias and ignored what happened. We also experienced an attempt to overcharge us at dinner. For a supposed 4-star hotel, the service was awful. The attitude felt more like a low-end hostel than a 4-star resort. You can’t treat guests this way. I hope management sees this and seriously rethinks staff training and how guests are treated. I wouldn’t recommend the place to anyone.

The surroundings are stunning, and the cottages are spacious, very clean, and well maintained. The facilities are in excellent condition, too. It feels like a tucked-away spot in preserved jungle, away from mass tourism, and much nicer than the island’s other side, which is more crowded and touristy. Service felt worthy of a true 5-star place, with attentive, kind, professional staff. Breakfast was quite good, though I’d have liked more Asian dishes to choose from. Highly recommend it for peace, nature, and real relaxation.

The private beach was pristine, with clear turquoise water and soft sand, and the sunsets were spectacular. We spent hours lounging, snorkeling, and kayaking in the tranquil, uncrowded setting. The infinity pool looking over the bay was breathtaking, too. At the Dhivarin Spa, I had a wonderfully rejuvenating massage that melted away my stress. Eating at the beachfront O Restaurant was a highlight, with delicious Italian and Thai fusion dishes and ocean views. Breakfast was fresh and varied. Our hillside cottage was spacious and beautifully decorated with traditional wooden furnishings and woven details. It had a large private balcony with stunning ocean views, and some cottages have an outdoor jacuzzi that sounds lovely for an evening. The room was spotless and comfortable, with thoughtful touches like fresh fruit and rose petals when we arrived. From the moment we got there, the warm, attentive staff made us feel like VIPs and went out of their way with genuine Thai hospitality. Le Vimarn Cottages & Spa on serene Ao Prao Beach in Koh Samet felt like a perfect tropical escape. It’s a calm boutique resort that seems ideal for couples looking for romance and relaxation. We’ll be back soon. Highly recommend it for an unforgettable getaway close to Bangkok.
