Breakfast was included. It was a little basic, but a nice touch, and the coffee was decent. Our room was clean and spacious, with daily cleaning and fresh sheets and towels every other day. We looked out over the pool and sea, a lovely view, though other guests using the pool sometimes interrupted our privacy. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. When we asked them to arrange a long-tail boat day trip, they quickly set it up for the following day at a very competitive price. Okay was especially helpful and attentive. It’s a good place for a relaxing holiday, and I’d come back.

The spa and the view from our room were amazing. But the experience was only okay, and 100.000 thb for six days felt far too much. This simply isn’t a five-star hotel. The staff need more training in service and respect for hospitality. The breakfast and hotel restaurants were poor quality, mass-produced rather than homemade. Half the staff were from India and Nepal, when you expect Thai staff, and in my view their service didn’t match the image of Thai hospitality. We were traveling with a baby, but waiters, drivers, and other staff never offered to help carry the stroller. The drivers were FaceTiming their girlfriends while driving up and down the hill. Staff in general seemed to have an issue with personal phone use. It takes around 30 minutes to get up and down to your room. That’s manageable, but gets boring after a while. The hotel looks small, but there are around 3-500 guests staying. I wouldn’t come back or recommend it at this price.

I felt welcome from the first few seconds. The rooms are spacious, the beds are cozy, and the pools are outstanding. It feels more family-like than the other, bigger places on the beach. The staff are warm-hearted and always ready to go the extra mile for their guests. Highly recommend, and I’d very happily come back.

The rooms felt roomy and were clean, and I really liked how peaceful it was right by the beach. I’d come back. I did wish the pillows were softer and that there was a light quilt or blanket on the bed.

Breakfast was easier for us at the Royal Yao Yai Beach Resort, since we had two small kids. Their buffet was 300 Bath per adult and 150 Bath per child. Here, you can choose from 8 large breakfast plates with a variety of food for 250 Bath. The restaurant food was good, though expensive, about twice what you pay in town. The resort is right on the beach, with clean, huge rooms and small pools that are refreshing. The staff were nice and helpful, and kayaks and SUPs were available to take out. You can also get a massage on the beach or book tours.
