K.B. Resort

The setting is on the quieter side of KB, though still close to everything you need. We stayed eight days and found the beach beautiful, breakfast good, and the service excellent. The resort is nice overall, but the rooms could use a refresh and the Wi-Fi was pretty poor.

Could the resort put up signs asking guests not to ride or pose cruelly with the elephants? I've read that the resort itself isn't involved, but many ignorant tourists from there do ride them and take cruel photos. A notice at check-in could help raise awareness and remove the reason for bringing the elephants down to the beach.

The villa was right on the beach, and the main street was wonderfully close. Breakfast had a good variety for everyone, and the stay was great all around. Seeing elephants wander about and swim in the sea each day made the place feel surreal. It was paradise.

Breakfast was excellent, with lots of bread and cereal choices, plus fruit and salad. I loved it. The beach was great, and the room impressed me too: mine was in a garden view block, with a big balcony and a lovely couch. It had modern wooden furniture, a comfortable bed, and a large bathroom with good water pressure and temperature. The TV was the letdown. It was small, not a Smart TV, and its USB socket didn't work. The receptionist confirmed all the TVs were the same. It was low season, with only four other guests, and I paid THB1300, which seemed reasonable. When I asked to stay two more nights at that rate, they wanted more, so I found another place.
