Banana Beach Resort

We stayed three nights with our 4 year old. It's a basic hotel, but good for kids, with a playground and lots of toys to play with. We'd come back.

The owner was so helpful with our plans, arranging boat rides, a massage and a day trip. We also got a room upgrade, which was extremely kind. Breakfast was great, the bed was comfortable, and the surroundings were peaceful. We loved the pool, the beachfront and the area, with a great restaurant and market nearby. My friends and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the island as a whole. I highly recommend it!

We were relieved to leave. At least the kids could play outside easily, and the cleaning ladies were lovely and did a good job. Thank you to them ♡. The rest was rough: the internet didn't work, the smell outside was really bad, and the pool was too dirty to use even though we'd paid for it. Reception staff were really unfriendly. The rooms were basic, which was fine, but the doors wouldn't close properly and had huge gaps. The kettle was rusty, and broken plastic trays in the fridge meant we couldn't store our water. The shower hose was too short to wash the kids, which was very inconvenient, and the faucet was loose. The kids' bedding was synthetic and sometimes smelled strongly of synthetic perfume.
