See Sea Backpackers House Hostel

I felt safe and comfortable here, especially after a not-so-great stay somewhere else. Being here helped me feel at ease again, and I would absolutely recommend the hostel and happily return. I meant to stay for a shorter time but ended up extending again and again because the staff were so welcoming, kind and patient. They never made my spontaneous extensions feel like a problem, and even kept me in the same bed, which was thoughtful. The room was bright and well air-conditioned, sometimes a bit cold for my taste, though I'm sure they would've adjusted it if I'd asked. Fresh towels were provided, and there was a little shelf by the entrance where you could buy basics like shower gel if you'd forgotten yours. The terrace was really nice too.

I loved see sea and ended up making so many friends that I extended my stay. It's small, with a nice terrace, and a friendly, helpful staff. A good choice if you want a social hostel without being in the middle of the party.

The location was good, and one staff member gave me very helpful suggestions. The towels and room AC were nice too. But this hostel badly needs a deep clean. The floors are overdue for a mop, and there is mold on and in the bathroom sinks and on the shower walls. The bathrooms smell strongly, and at night the dorm is very loud because it's beside a busy street.

See Sea Backpackers has become my home away from home. I’ve already spent about four weeks there across two stays, and I’m planning to return for a third. The people I met on my first visit traveled with me for three weeks and became friends for life. On the next stay I found another lovely group, and I’m traveling with them now. The terrace makes it easy to meet other guests. Most are solo travelers, and I was happy to find plenty around my age, in their thirties and forties. It’s relaxed rather than a party hostel, though we could make our own fun when we felt like it. The atmosphere is social and it’s easy to get to know people. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, and everything is clean. There’s also a big TV and a PlayStation. The staff are a big part of why I feel so welcome. Zay and Lanbo are so sweet. When I came back the second time, Zay greeted me with a huge smile before I’d even parked my bike, welcomed me back, and carried my backpack inside. Troy has become a great friend. He’s helpful, friendly, full of advice, and always up for a chat. I also got to meet his Thai girlfriend and her 6 yo granddaughter Eve. After a while, Eve would run over with her lovely smile and give me the sweetest, biggest hug. Brian, the owner, is kind and friendly too, and I’ve really enjoyed our chats. When I had a bad experience with an aggressive guest, Brian removed him straight away so the rest of us wouldn’t have to deal with that behavior. Amy, the Thai co-owner, is another sweetheart. We call each other “lovely,” and she gives me a warm hug and jokes around with me whenever we meet. After 13 years of backpacking, this is my favorite hostel. Everyone makes me feel appreciated and like I’m an important part of the place. I can’t wait to come back, see the staff and owners again, meet more travelers, and make more memories there ❤️
