The friendly, polite staff and daily housekeeping were welcome, and the bed linen was clean. The pool was clean too, and the grounds aren't bad, though the outdoor areas look tired and need attention. The restaurant food was average, and the rooms are old and worn, with no real sign of renovation. It feels as if this might have been a lovely hotel 30 years ago, but that time has passed. At 3,000 baht a night for one of the most basic rooms, it's far too expensive. Mae Haad Resort nearby gives a much better experience for the same price, even if it isn't new either.

The location is spot on, and the pool is great. The resort itself feels old-fashioned, with dated rooms, uncomfortable beds and curtains that don't block the light. The restaurant was nothing special, though the staff were really nice. Fresh coconut was 40 baht.

The beach was lovely for swimming, with clear, clean water, and the resort has a beautiful garden and pool. Some restoration would help the rooms, since nails are sticking out of the walls in places. Apart from that, everything was good.

The beach at Salad was amazing and peaceful, and I really enjoyed my five nights here. My bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower were okay, and although the room felt a little old, it was in good shape. There's a nice pool, and the resort is beautiful, clean and well kept, especially for the price. The hotel restaurant wasn't that good, but the staff were lovely, and there was a really good restaurant right next door, crystal bay. Having a massage station at the resort made my stay even better.

This resort is peaceful, and the beach is one of the island's best, so I had a really enjoyable stay. It's way up in the north, away from most attractions unless riding a bike is easy for you. The rooms are pretty good, and you can get a massage right on the beach.
