The Dreaming View Villa

The staff working at the villa were genuinely kind, polite, and helpful. They were the one bright spot in an otherwise really disappointing stay. The owner was rude and unprofessional. After taking our payment, he more or less vanished and stopped replying to messages. We had booked about four months ahead, after seeing polished videos of luxurious facilities, but what we found didn’t match that picture. We arrived around 11 PM after our flight was delayed by about eight hours. The next morning, while we were out sorting out basics like groceries and scooter rentals, the owner threatened to call the police unless we paid the deposit immediately. It felt intimidating and disrespectful, especially after the exhausting trip. The jacuzzis didn’t work at all, despite repeated complaints and assurances that they did. We paid for facilities we couldn’t use, and one guest even got an electric shock, which was dangerous. Getting to the villa was also awkward, particularly at night, because there was no basic light marking the turn. The view is beautiful, but some lighting would have fixed that problem. We’d been told noise was strictly forbidden, yet a neighboring villa had a loud trance party every Wednesday until about 2 AM. No one told us about that beforehand. One evening we came back to find a bed covered in mosquitoes and flying insects, an unacceptable hygiene problem at this price. Photo attached. Electricity charges were taken from our deposit without our approval, any explanation, or even a message. We paid over 100,000 THB and didn’t even get a goodbye or thank you. The whole experience felt deliberate and unprofessional. There’s a huge difference between what’s promised and what’s delivered here. Between the poor maintenance, the owner’s behavior, and the overall experience, it felt more like a tourist trap than a luxury villa. Not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
