The Seaside Resort

I've stayed here several times over the past five years, and the owners are responsive. The grounds and rooms are clean and well maintained, with a cafe, pool, and small gym room. The sea views are lovely, especially at sunset, though the water is shallow and not suitable for swimming. Eateries, Nena Italian restaurant, self-service laundry, and a Tops Minimart are all within walking distance.

We ended up searching for somewhere to sleep in the dark in the middle of the night. The owner told us we could just go to another hotel, took no responsibility, and offered no compensation. Here's what happened. We arrived at 18:30 and got a room that seemed fine at first. We went to the pool to watch the sunset, where the owner and her family were sitting with five dogs. Two came toward us, one friendly and another baring its teeth. We tried to move away; the owner called out from a distance for it to stop. We stayed back from the pool, but within two minutes a dog ran over and bit my partner in the back. Two more dogs joined and circled us. The owner kept telling them to stop from afar and didn't come over. We ran to our room, with one dog standing outside it. Once the dog had gone and we'd calmed down, around 19:00, we called the owner. She rudely said it wasn't her fault or responsibility because the dog that bit my partner belonged to the neighbor from 'Danup villa'. She called the neighbor, who said she would pay for a hospital examination only if the doctor decided it really was her dog. Meanwhile, one of the dogs outside our room bared its teeth whenever we tried to leave. This was the most unprofessional place we've ever slept in. I hope tourists read this before booking.

A simple place with heart, and the staff are kind and welcoming. Everything feels fairly new, and there's a swimming pool now too. They don't offer laundry service, but there are a few laundry places nearby, so that's no problem.

I'm staying here now and really love it. The staff and resort are nice, and the food is okay. I understand room prices depend on the view and size, and I wanted a sea-view room. The owner gave me a discount. Maybe I'll stay here again this year.
