Samed Cabana Resort

We especially liked having meals on the beach, watching things go by with the water right there. We tried a couple of stir fries and pad Thai, and the restaurant worked well for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was good each day, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our three days at this mid-tier resort on Ao Wongdeung Beach were enjoyable. The poolside room was clean and well equipped, with a day bed, indoor and outdoor seating, and a large new TV. The beds were firm but comfortable. The bathroom was rather dim, and the grout and dark marks behind the door could use a proper clean.

The bathroom was pretty average, though it was fine for our two-night visit. We ate at the restaurant a few times and liked the food, especially the beach barbecue. Our beachfront bungalow sat at the quiet end of the beach, a lovely spot. The room itself was nice and right on the sand. Since it’s in a national park, sand and a few bugs or other little creatures are to be expected. We had a nice stay, and two nights felt like about the right amount of time.

Our sea-view room felt airy and close to nature, with a balcony that was a peaceful place to unwind. You can hear the waves from inside, and the breeze keeps the room feeling fresh. The room gets 4/5 from me, clean and tidy. Service was so good, and the resort staff were very friendly and quick to respond.

Pleng spoke good English and gave us warm, friendly service. The beach was beautiful, with clear water, soft white sand, and blue sky. We had two seafood dinners at Samed Cabana Resort, and everything was fresh and tasty. The fire show on the beach at night was really exciting. We spent two nights in a superior garden-view bungalow. The room was nice, the bed comfortable, and the bathroom was okay for the price. A happy, relaxing stay!
