The service, communication, and cleanliness were excellent, and the pool was great with little chlorine. We stayed 12 days in three of the villa’s five rooms, with two adults and two kids. The deposit left a bad feeling, though: from 500 euros we got back 1000 Baht for two weeks. We would have returned with the same group if not for that. They suggested booking next time through booking.com instead of directly, since electricity is then included, but we won’t be coming back. The meter is outside, so it’s impossible to tell which house it belongs to. The air conditioners didn’t always work, and one of the five rooms couldn’t be used because of a constant mold smell. If the 500-euro deposit had just been included in the price, it wouldn’t have bothered anyone.

The beach is only a few steps away, and we thought it was the best on Samui. We spent an amazing week at Ban Tai Estate, staying with friends in villa Bacardi. The villas are new, modern, and comfortable for a holiday with kids. Our bedrooms were huge and clean, with big terraces, and the pool was so good the kids wanted to stay in it all day. We loved ending each evening at the projector cinema on the upper terrace. Special thanks to the Ban Tai Estate team. We’ll be back soon!
