Am Samui Resort

The hotel promotes tourist activities that are abusive to animals, which was probably the worst part for me. Thailand has so much natural beauty and culture that there’s no need to exploit or mistreat animals. The setting itself is beautiful, right on the beach, though there are better beaches on the island. There are wooden seats and a nice pool, and our little bungalow was cute and clean. We were also disappointed by the service. Most staff seemed annoyed, and their cold, almost rude manner didn’t feel welcoming, unlike the friendly people we’d met elsewhere in Thailand. They held a wedding, which is fine, but guests should have been told that a noisy event would take over the restaurant area just steps from where we slept. Loud music went on late, and nobody warned us or apologized for the disturbance. There are equally beautiful, perhaps even more beautiful, places with much friendlier staff.

The only little issues were the low, awkward room lock and weak shower pressure. Fix those and it would be perfect. I loved the peaceful, green surroundings, the beautiful beach and sea, and especially the food, with a delicious Pad Thai. Reception staff were super friendly and gave great service. I’d highly recommend it for a real break and some quiet relaxation. 🌴✨

The garden-view studio was clean and nice, and the food was really tasty. The calm atmosphere was lovely, with a great sunset view at this superb beachfront hotel. The staff were super friendly. Must visit. Do check all photos & videos🙏❤️

I loved the surrounding nature and palm trees, and in the sun the private beach is dreamy. The restaurant has lots of options, and the food is delicious. I especially liked the beef burger, although the patty was tiny, almost half the size of the bun 😅. The staff were friendly and helpful. The beds are too hard for me, and the curtains are either fully open to daylight or completely blacked out. Sheer curtains would give more privacy during the day. My shower was cold the first night and wouldn’t warm up, and there was no phone to call reception. On the third night it stopped working altogether. Reception came over and fixed it right away, and then I had a lovely warm shower.
