Aqua Coral 3

I found the villa on airbnb and had a great stay, especially enjoying the private pools. The place could use some maintenance, though. It's on a very steep hill, so most taxis charge a lot to come up. Renting a car or scooter is highly recommended.

Cat, the manager, was great. She welcomed us, explained the villa and housekeeping and pool cleaning schedules, and sorted us out with the well-equipped fitness center, scooter or taxi rental, and anything else we needed. We spent six weeks at Aqua Residence and hated leaving. Our 2 bedroom/2 and a half bath (no tub) villa had a full kitchen with seating for 6, a nice living area with a big tv and Netflix, and sliding glass doors to balconies off the bedrooms. More sliding doors opened onto a private infinity pool from the living area. The east-facing view over the Gulf of Thailand gave us gorgeous sunrises and moonrises. That view comes with a steep incline, so walking into town and back would be difficult, especially in hot weather when it can feel like 35°C/100°F. I recommend a scooter, which costs less to rent than a taxi, for visiting beaches, temples, and restaurants. We loved Koh Samui, and Aqua Residence was the icing on the cake.

Jordi was an amazing host and made us feel welcome from the start. He helped with taxis and scooters and shared recommendations for food and nightlife. The villa was beautiful, and we had an excellent stay. 10/10, we'll stay again next time we're in koh samui.

The villas are good, but getting up the hill on the road is not an easy ride, especially on a rented scooter. There's a free shuttle to the main road, and they offer airport taxis for 500 THB each way. Construction was underway during our stay, with 4 other villas being completed, and it looked like the work might continue for a few months.
