Management handled my complaint professionally and later refunded the 500 THB resort credit, which I appreciated. The mix-up over that credit and the included minibar at checkout was frustrating, though, and extra charges for parts of the pool and beach club hadn't been made clear in advance. I liked the location and generally found the staff friendly during my several nights at Avani Chaweng. The room cleanliness was a letdown for a hotel costing over 4,000 THB a night: I got stained towels more than once, the shower area wasn't properly maintained, and there was visible mold on the ceiling. At that price, I expected better upkeep and clearer communication.

The loud music from the Seen beach club and the long walk to the center, since the hotel is at the bottom of Chaweng, were the two drawbacks. Still, this was one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Thailand. The staff were super friendly and the service was amazing, especially receptionist Fern, who was so nice and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it, particularly for a group of young people.

People like Neng are what make a hotel stay special. He welcomed us with a big smile, was consistently kind and professional, and was always ready to help. He went out of his way to make us comfortable, and we felt well looked after from the moment we arrived. Many thanks for such wonderful service.

We stayed five nights at a great hotel in a good location. A heads-up about the noise: at check-in they said the beach club closed at 11 pm, but on some days the loud music carried on until around 1 am. Breakfast had only full-fat and low-fat cow's milk, so there wasn't a non-dairy option for coffee.

We spent four days in a row at the Seen Beach club. The 2k baht sunbed charge comes with 2k credit for food, and it made for a great day out. The beach is just a few steps away, with wonderfully clean water that's great for swimming. The pool, bar, and food selection were all top notch. I'd recommend it 👌 💯
