Avani+ Samui Resort

The room was lovely, but one of the gates had come loose and fallen down. It was quite heavy, so luckily nobody was hurt. The location isn't especially convenient. Still, it's a good choice for a quiet getaway, with nice food and lovely people looking after you. We really enjoyed the warm hospitality from reception, the trainer, and the waiters. K. Beam, K. Pekky, K, Panini, K. Diggy and K. Nick deserve a special mention. Thank you for taking such good care of us and making the holiday memorable. Hope to see you all again.

We stayed in a pool villa room, which was exceptional, and the beautiful setting, unbelievable food, and friendly staff made our visit feel so special. My partner proposed during the stay, and restaurant manager khun Vivian helped him plan it in secret. She went above and beyond: helping beforehand, choosing the best beach spot for our engagement, and staying past the end of her shift so our private dinner would go perfectly. Thank you! We can't wait to come back.

If you want somewhere quiet to relax, this could be a good fit. We joined an Anantara vacation club preview for four days and three nights and came away quite satisfied. The staff were exceptionally friendly: after visiting dozens of countries, this was the friendliest place I've experienced, with 95% of employees greeting us with a sincere smile. Our room was very clean and well maintained. The only restaurant had a good variety of flavorful dishes, though prices were a little high. The spa was good quality, but choices were limited, so it's better to book early. There were different activities each day, although rain could affect some of them. The hotel is very far from Samui airport. Even with pickup provided, the drive took an hour, which felt like a waste of time. The beach is small and has limited activities, but it was clean. There's a free shuttle to Lamai beach and central mall, though the ride is long and uncomfortable because of the poor road infrastructure, so I wouldn't recommend it.

After proposing to my now fiance, I arranged a romantic dinner here. For two weeks we sorted out dates, requests, and details over email, and they always replied with great kindness. The dinner itself was magical. Palm, R and Beautiful helped everything run smoothly, including printing photos and hanging them on garlands. The food was some of the best I've had in Thailand.
