Baan Fah Resort

It’s a lovely hotel in a great spot if you want somewhere calmer. There’s still plenty nearby, including a 7-11, a gym, Thai massage places, lots of restaurants, and even a local night market. The staff were helpful, breakfast was good, and our room stayed clean. We enjoyed the beach, and towels and sunbeds are provided. The downside is that other guests start reserving beds with towels or flip-flops around 6:30 am, even though they aren’t there. That’s on the guests rather than the hotel. We loved our stay and would come back.

A quiet beach stay with good value. Our room was spacious, simple, clean, and had a lovely view of the beach. The beds were very comfortable, and the shower was good. Staff were friendly, and the cafe had basic food but enough for when we were hungry or thirsty. More beach beds would be nice, though it wasn’t a big problem. We spent three relaxing nights here. There aren’t many restaurant options close by, but a taxi takes about 10 minutes to reach the busier, more touristy areas. I’d definitely stay again.

The resort itself was peaceful and quiet during our stay. My girlfriend and I found the room and atmosphere relaxing, and everything inside felt calm. But an incident in the parking area really affected the experience. A man in sunglasses and a Thai military-style cap, who seemed to be acting as a parking attendant, confronted us rudely and aggressively. His attitude made it seem as if the hotel lot belonged to him, even though we were resort guests. He said the resort had asked him to look after the parking area. If that was true, his conduct was completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We felt uncomfortable and disrespected. It’s a shame one person spoiled what could have been a pleasant stay. We won’t be coming back.

We felt at ease as soon as we arrived. Our garden-view room and bathroom were both very spacious, and the room was thoroughly cleaned each day. We got fresh water daily, plus two sets of towels, one for the bathroom and one for the beach. The staff were extremely friendly and always smiling. The beach in front of Baanfah Resort was clean, quiet, and beautiful. There were sunbeds available even when we went down around midday. The pool was lovely too, a good spot to cool off when the sea felt too warm. It was a really relaxing holiday, and we’d definitely return.
