Behind The Scene Hotel Club at Samui

It was a good hotel in a prime location, so don’t let the bad reviews put you off. The rooms are bright and the hotel feels neat and clean. The staff were very helpful, especially san.

For the price, the rooms are really good. The people working here were incredibly hospitable and helped us find new places to explore in koh samui. It’s also less than a five-minute walk from the beach, which adds a lot of value.

We booked six nights and left after just one, with no refund. The room was so noisy we could physically feel the bass, and earplugs didn’t help. The music went on until 4AM, then drilling and banging from a nearby construction site took over. On top of that, the shower drain was clogged and the bathroom flooded after one use. We had booked the most expensive room, a large one with a balcony and tub. Neither was useful: the balcony had no charm or view beyond a 7 eleven sign, and the bathtub was old and disgusting, with water that barely worked. After a sleepless night, we politely asked the staff if any of our money could be returned, but they weren’t helpful. We’d rather throw our money away than stay another night, so we booked a different hotel. The mini fridge didn’t work either, and the milk went straight in the trash. Do not book if you want to sleep. Ever.

The location is excellent for the party street in koh samui, and the price is just right. The staff, including Sam and Bill, are friendly and accommodating. A couple of twin beds, air conditioning, a refrigerator, and a private bathroom are all you need here.
