Bhundhari Chaweng Beach Resort Koh Samui

The beach in front of the hotel is beautiful, and the staff are friendly. The snack bar by the pool serves tasty food and drinks at low prices, with quick, friendly service. The location is decent too. If you can book one, I'd recommend the beachfront villas. My boyfriend and I first stayed two nights in a deluxe pool access room in February. It was a good size, but I wouldn't suggest booking that type of room. There was mold in the bathroom and the AC unit looked dirty. My boyfriend developed airway irritation, shortness of breath, coughing, and wheezing. I think it may have been a reaction to the mold and dirty AC. The front desk staff did try to help, and promptly cleaned the unit, which I appreciated. On our third night we moved to a beachfront villa, and liked it much more. The one we had was mold-free, the AC worked perfectly, and the room was much bigger, cleaner, and more comfortable than the poolside room. It was just steps from Chaweng beach and a pool by the beach.

The hotel sits right on the beach, outside busy Chaweng but still close enough to walk there. Our room was okay, though the shower was awful, possibly because of the hot water pumps. Breakfast and the pool bar feel very outdated and have too little variety. There are plenty of other places to choose from nearby.

I really liked the location. It's a good place if you want to get away from the crowds. But housekeeping did a terrible job. Once, the bathtub stopper was left on top of my soap, and the sink stopper was upside down. Gross. I also woke up in the middle of the night with bites from something, and suspect bed bugs. Big no. The beach bar staff were friendly, but only after I tipped 😂

We had a balcony with a sea view and wished we'd stayed longer. The hotel is so close to the beach, and within walking distance of all the amenities you could need.
