The bungalow’s practical design was one of the best surprises of my time in Thailand. I’ll miss the big bathtub, the incredible view through its enormous window, and the rooftop jacuzzi. The pool layout and design were the best I’ve seen, and the hotel’s architecture is eye-catching. You get an incredible view as soon as you come through the entrance, which made the location a little away from the main village feel worth it. The food was great, though I personally would have liked a little more of it. The staff were helpful and nice throughout our stay. A few tips: negotiate the taxi fare back to the hotel. We paid 300 Bahts for the ride back from Fishermen Village, a cool place to spend some evenings, though it may be possible to get a lower fare. For good, mostly local food, turn right onto the main street from the hotel, go near 7eleven, and continue about 150 meters to the small market. Bring plenty of sun cream, use it often, and avoid going out around noon without protection. Your skin will appreciate it.

The views from the lobby, pool, and my room were breathtaking. I loved the concept, the open bath and shower, and the private rooftop jacuzzi was amazing. The room didn’t have an actual blanket, but I asked for one. Bathroom amenities were quite limited, and I wish they’d provided more. It’s out of the way, so you should have personal transportation. Walking at night wouldn’t be safe. There’s room for improvement.

The sunsets and sunrises were amazing from both the breakfast area and the room, and the breakfast was great too. It seems especially suited to couples, with a hot jacuzzi tub on the roof. The only trouble was finding the place. Some signs from the main road pointing to the hotel would help.

The room had a breathtaking view across the whole island from high up on the hills. You’ll need a decent car to make it up there. Oddly, we had to ask specifically for a blanket. Maybe I’d stay again once the hotel is fully operational.

The private rooftop jacuzzi had an amazing sea view, easily my favorite part. The rooms were beautiful, and the gourmet restaurant’s food was great. The staff were friendly and very helpful, with amazing service. Best hotel I’ve ever been to, an awesome experience.
