I feel like I way overpaid for this place. There’s a bad septic gas smell, and since it’s on the top floor and I can’t see any P-traps, I’m guessing the gas is coming up through the building somehow. The power also goes out every day, sometimes for hours. The guest bathroom is completely unusable, with wiring hanging about three feet out of the ceiling. Not impressed for the money.
Lovely villa, great staff, and a good location.
Stay away from Eli Elad, I can’t recommend this place. The bath and shower didn’t work, the sheets were stained, and the fees were high.
The pool was small and often full of leaves, and we had to ask for the room to be cleaned. There was no view, electricity cost extra, and the road in was more like a dirt track. The French doors wouldn’t close. Staff could have been more helpful and better at speaking English.
The owners of Villa Paris were super, super nice. We stayed in one of the villas at Chaweng Modern, in a spacious, comfortable house with the basic amenities. It’s in a quiet spot away from the main street and its noise. You do need a car or bike to get there, but it was totally worth it.
