The owner was helpful and a nice guy, but the place felt really rundown and the rooms and showers weren’t very clean. The sheets had holes, the towels were stained, and the bathroom doors wouldn’t close or lock, so there was no privacy.

We found it worth the price, even though it’s about a 20-minute walk to the centre of Chaweng. The owner at reception was brilliant: he arranged activities for us at discounted rates and gave us a ride to the pier for less than the taxi companies charged.

The owner was so nice and even gave us free beers. He could also easily arrange any activity or transport we wanted. The beach is close by, and the bars and restaurants are just a short walk away.

It’s an affordable hostel in a quiet spot, and the main mile with its bars and restaurants is within walking distance. Everyone, both staff and guests, was friendly and laid-back. The shared bathrooms were fine. A good fit for solo backpackers hoping to meet people.

Everyone was friendly and ready to help, and we really enjoyed our time in Thailand. The place feels cosy, and the location is very good. It’s worth considering for a short or long stay if you want good value. I’ll come back. Thanks for the great hospitality!
