Green Villa

This was the worst place I've stayed in, after two months of traveling around Asia. The location was poor, down a rundown lane with nothing nearby, and even the low price doesn't make it worth staying here. I wouldn't stay for free. The place looked neglected and dirty at first glance, and the pool was filthy with broken sun loungers. The online photos are very old and don't match what you find. Our room had stains on the walls and in the bathroom, stained pillowcases, and an overpowering weed smell that made us feel sick. It seemed to come from the sheets and curtains. When we asked to switch rooms because of the dirt and smell, two employees laughed and said we'd have to pay extra for a larger room or cancel and leave.

What an awful stay. The property was run-down and dirty, and the photos were completely misleading. Our room smelled horrible and had stained sheets. When we raised the issue, the staff were unhelpful, laughed at us, and didn't seem to care. They offered no compensation, just said we could check out if we didn't want to stay.

A lovely spot in Lamai if you want to unwind somewhere quiet but still be near everything. It's between the beach and the main road, with a 7/11 right beside the resort. The pool is nice, and the staff are kind with great service.

Right between the beach and a 7eleven, the location worked perfectly for me. The host and staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, and they rent scooters that are in great condition. I normally never hand over my passport as a deposit, but I trusted these people. It's a quiet, private place for budget travelers, and the price is better than nearby hostels.
