Lolita Bungalow

The owners were kind and helpful in every way. We liked the place so much that after four days we extended our stay by another four. It’s a lovely bungalow hotel right by what I think is Koh Samui’s most beautiful beach. The bungalow is about 10 meters from the water, so it’s easy to relax and enjoy the scenery near your holiday home. I recommend a seafront bungalow for views of the sea and Koh phangan throughout the day.

The beach access is stunning, the garden is beautiful, and the restaurant is a real gem. Its staff were outstanding: friendly, warm, and attentive. We barely saw any hotel staff, though, and there was almost no communication with them. The hotel is very old and clearly hasn’t been renovated in a long time. The wear shows throughout the room, from the doors to the furniture. Rooms either have air conditioning or just a fan. Be careful when booking, because a “fan room” means the A/C remote is removed and you get a small floor fan, not even a wall-mounted one. That can be uncomfortable in hot weather. Changing rooms later is difficult too, since communicating with staff is hard. If you plan to spend much time indoors, this place probably isn’t for you. But for beach time and excursions, it’s worth considering.

I booked three bungalows about four months ahead, and the booking was confirmed. On the day I was supposed to arrive, I was told there were no bungalows left. Thanks for nothing. Absolutely disrespectful!

The whole place has a relaxed feel, with great views and a quiet spot in Maenam. I’ve visited Samui a couple of times and this is my favorite beach. The bungalows are cute and have what you need, and the price is good for such an amazing location. I’ve seen complaints about some amenities, but to me, that just means spending too much time in your room. It’s an island, so relax.
