MAI place is just a few meters from the beach and even has a rooftop. The beds were incredibly comfortable, the kitchen facilities were nice, and there was free water. Everything was clean and comfortable, and the WiFi worked well for remote work and movies. Best hostel in Koh Samui, highly recommend!

A calm, peaceful place, not a party hostel, though people still chat and hang out. Everything is close, and a scooter makes it easy to get to the area's highlights. The stay was wonderful: clean and cozy, with a great vibe and friendly people. The air conditioning was just right for sleeping, cool without being freezing. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helped with everything we needed. Best hostel I've ever stayed in! 🫶🏻🤍 Highly recommend, it was a fantastic experience! 🌸

We booked MAI place 2-3 weeks ahead because we expected prices to rise around Christmas, New Year's, and the full moon party. Three days before check-in, the host messaged me to say they'd overbooked and blamed agoda. I suspect they saw a chance to earn more by canceling us and taking a last-minute guest, though I can't know for sure. Because of the last-minute cancellation, we had to pay 4500 baht for one night's accommodation on New Year's Day. It added stress our holiday didn't need. I'd be cautious about booking with them during holidays or busy season.

The host was super friendly and helpful, and the place had a cozy, clean feel that made it easy to relax. The nearby beach was beautiful, and we got to enjoy a nice sunset there. One of the best hostels I've stayed in. Highly recommend! 🌴

The host was lovely and helpful, and we felt very safe. The kitchen and chill area were clean and nice, and we met some cool people there. It took about 40 steps to reach the beach, which was nearly empty except for us. We'd recommend Aforetime House @ Samui 100%. :)
