Palm Point Village

We were only 10 meters from the beach, close enough to see and hear the waves from our bungalow. It was comfortable and had wifi and aircon, though there's no TV or fancy bedding. My wife and I paid £27 for the night in April, which felt like great value. The place is wonderfully quiet, with a beautiful beach, and the restaurant has a lovely view and very reasonable prices. Staff were kind and helpful. You can walk up to the main road for more shops and restaurants. Thanks for a memorable stay!

A lovely local family runs this place, and the accommodation was clean and nice. The beach right in front is calm and beautiful, and getting to the tourist spots is convenient. The massage place in front of the resort was so good, highly recommend it. The whole stay was better than I expected.

We spent a whole week here and loved it. This is a cute, authentic little village run by a wonderful group of local women, some of them family, and it welcomes locals as well as visitors. The ladies' service really stood out: they're kind and ready to help before you even ask. The owner prays each morning and blesses the property, which gives the place a lovely Thai feel and atmosphere. Our room had no Aircon, but with the fan on and the windows open, we slept well. The windows have built-in bug nets, and by midnight each night it was cool. The terrace looks over the beach and sea; we spent a few evenings there by candlelight listening to the waves. The food was amazing, with authentic Thai choices at good prices, plus simpler options for westerners. Shops and plenty of restaurants are along the way to the main road, about a five-minute walk, and just about anything else you need is within 10-15 minutes on foot. You can arrange a boat to Koh Pha Ngan for the full moon parties from the place next door. We didn't go, though afterward it seemed like we should have. I'd absolutely return, even though I still have other parts of Thailand to stay in first.

Not great, but not terrible either. There's a fan but no AC, and the shower had no hot water. I noticed a few little bugs on the bed, nothing big or scary. Maps may send you along a beach to get there, whether you're driving a car or moped, so watch the directions. Fine for a night if you're on a budget.
