Leaving was so hard I cried. The host made the place feel magical, and the service was so good it deserves a sixth star.
The green grounds were lovely, and there was a friendly chubby dog around. Our room was clean, and the price felt fair. Transfers, bike rental, and laundry were included, so you pay once and have most of what you need, apart from food. We had a couple of room problems: the shower and bathroom lock were broken. The host knew it wasn't our fault and had everything fixed the next day. Good response, though checking rooms before guests arrive would help. The WiFi was slow, and there wasn't a comfortable place to work, with no tables in the room or shared area. The pool also didn't look very clean or fresh, so I wasn't sure about using it, and I didn't see anyone swimming. Still, it's a nice option if you're after a calm, relaxing break.
We could eat breakfast on our balcony and enjoy a stunning view. The room had a fridge and basic kitchen appliances. The lodge is a two-minute walk from the beach, and there's a pool with sunbeds. The host was friendly and helped us with laundry, bikes, and transfers to the ferry pier.
My boyfriend and I had a 10/10 stay. We'd read some negative reviews, but honestly had nothing bad to say. Masha was brilliant and shared loads of useful information. We messaged ahead to reserve the free motorbike, and when we asked for another pillow late at night, she brought one within minutes. Laundry was free too. We were right on Lamai beach, which was lovely for sunbathing and quiet reading. The waves were choppy, so swimming wasn't possible at this time of year. Our room's outdoor kitchen had everything we needed. We picked up breakfast supplies like eggs, sausages, bread, fresh fruit, and coffee at Macro across the road, which saved us some money. Mooshi, the cute guard dog, kept us company at night. We'd definitely come back. Thanks, Masha and moonshi!
