Royal Cottage Residence

My wife and I lived here for about three months and enjoyed our stay. The receptionist was courteous, professional, and focused on guests, and the manager’s changes made the place much better. The rooms and pool are clean. Weekly cleaning was always done on time, the air conditioning worked well, and so did the shower water heaters. If the AC needs attention, just ask for it to be cleaned. There’s no breakfast at the residence anymore, but plenty of options nearby, and Lamai Beach is a short walk away. It’s a private place without security; we didn’t feel inconvenienced and even left the door unlocked at night. Birds singing in the morning made it feel like being in a jungle. Mosquitoes are around, as they are everywhere. For a long stay, you’ll need to pay extra for electricity, which is common at most places. No one will try to charge you more than you owe. I give the residence, receptionist, and director five stars.

Barbora was so sweet and helped us rent a motorbike. She’s a really lovely person, and the other guests were great too. The place is very clean, beautiful, and peaceful, with hotel apartments that made for my best stay anywhere. It’s not far from Lamai centre and sits between two main streets, so getting around the island is easy. I’m going to miss this place so much.

Even with all the heavy rain, we had a great stay. The pool and outdoor space by the rooms were lovely, and breakfast was well worth having.

It’s a small, quiet, family-run place, and I’d happily stay here again. The rooms were clean and had plenty of space, a shower, and air conditioning. There’s a pool for swimming and cooling off, and you can borrow scooters for a fair price. Laundry service is available too. Breakfast wasn’t a huge selection, but it was fine for Thailand, and you can order freshly cooked dishes. The beach and Lamai walking street are both easy to reach on foot.
