The location has potential, but the stay fell short, and the price didn’t match what was provided. I expected more given the branding and cost. The room was very basic, and the shower pressure was so weak it was like a spray bottle. Poor bathroom drainage left puddles on the toilet floor. The TV was essentially unusable, and the amenities were sparse. Communication was difficult because customer service was inconsistent and staff had limited English, which affected the experience at an international wellness resort. Laundry was especially disappointing: one of my Lululemon items was damaged, despite the extra fee for the service. Breakfast cost 300 baht for a buffet with a minimal selection that didn’t justify the price. I paid a significant amount for a bare-minimum room with several functional problems. Comfort, service, and basic infrastructure need major improvement. I hope the feedback is taken constructively.

We left early and moved to another hotel after a stressful start to our vacation. The main-road room had constant, extremely loud traffic, and we couldn’t sleep the first night. For a place promoting wellness and relaxation, that was unacceptable. We told reception right away and politely asked for a quieter room. We weren’t asking for an upgrade or a sea view, just somewhere we could rest. They offered only another room in the same noisy area and said a quieter one would cost extra. We felt our concern wasn’t taken seriously and no real solution was offered. The lack of sleep and the way it was handled cost us valuable vacation time dealing with a problem that shouldn’t happen at a wellness resort. We wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone who values rest, peace, or professional guest care.

The pool was nice, and the beach was beautiful, which made the problems with the stay even more disappointing. I spent eight nights there and never received an apology or any compensation. The bed was quite hard, so keep that in mind if you like a softer mattress. After a long day of flights, I was first given a lower-category room. The receptionist said my booked room had a water leak, even though I’d reserved it five months ahead and the hotel appeared to have rooms available. After about 40 minutes while she checked with her manager, I got the room I’d booked. I asked directly whether it was okay, and she said it was. The following night, water flooded the bathroom in the middle of the night and spread into the entrance and carpet, apparently from the neighboring room. I nearly slipped. The hotel itself is beautiful and has a relaxing feel, but management fell short and the whole experience was frustrating.

My family holiday was ruined by pain and stress. After leaving the elevator on February 29, 2026, its door suddenly shut on my arm and seriously injured me. For a resort that says it prioritizes wellness, the lack of safety measures was shocking. I spent the rest of the trip in pain, stuck in my room and unable to take part in activities, including a training camp I’d already paid for. Instead, I was going back and forth to the hospital, with medical bills and taxi fares adding up to more than 26,000 baht. I contacted management to seek compensation for those costs and for losing the enjoyment of my holiday, but they haven’t responded. I consider their failure to maintain the elevators inexcusable, and feel they didn’t meet their duty of care to guests. I had high hopes for Samaya Wellness Resort, but this became a nightmare. Think twice before staying here. Your well-being shouldn’t be put at risk like mine was. Avoid at all costs!
