Silavadee Pool Spa Resort

Our jacuzzi room was a real highlight. It was spacious and thoughtfully designed, with plenty of storage, a very comfortable bed, and a lovely ocean view. We couldn't fault the room itself. We expected five stars, but the overall experience felt more like three to four. The hotel is very child-friendly, so I wouldn't recommend it for a quiet or relaxing visit. There were crying children on both sides of our room, and the main pool was busy with kids. The pool is quite small, with limited seating, roughly around 20 loungers, so it felt crowded. The private beach was disappointing when we arrived: it was covered in trash, seaweed, and fallen branches, and looked like it hadn't been maintained for a while. The food was okay, but not what I'd expect from a five-star hotel. We knew about construction beforehand, but its amount and visibility still took away from the relaxing atmosphere we wanted. The staff were genuinely lovely and attentive, though some seemed inexperienced. We often had to look for someone to order food or drinks. I'm sure that will improve with more training. I wouldn't recommend the hotel unless you're travelling with family or small children. It didn't deliver the calm, luxurious stay we hoped for.

We enjoyed our sea-view room with a balcony tub, and the honeymoon welcome package was a lovely touch. Staff were friendly and helpful, and golfcarts were easy to find for getting around the property. Since construction was going on, they offered a little happy hour with basic drinks and a couple of tasty appetizers. The work was a bit noisy during our massages, but that was the only time it affected us. A great experience if you want to ball out for a bit.

Breakfast was impressive and delicious. The noodles, duck, eggs, and salmon were all fresh and high quality. We also found the pool and beach area perfect for relaxing, with attentive, friendly staff there. We stayed as a couple, and the service was exceptional from start to finish. Our room and its stunning views were well worth the price. Some parts of the hotel were under construction, but we barely noticed. We explored the island with a local guide, so the hotel's location wasn't an issue for us. You need a buggy to get around the resort, which made things easier. You can call one from the phones around the property, and they arrived quickly.

The suite was incredible, wonderfully private and with great views. Service was amazing, and there were lots of quality touches and choices. Breakfast had an extensive selection, and the toiletries were byredo. One of the best luxury stays I've had in all my travels. I dream of coming back!
