Tropical Sea View Residence

The service was great, and we were able to check out after we decided we wouldn't stay. But the booking pictures didn't match what we found, and the place needs maintenance. It felt too expensive for what you get. It might suit someone looking for a longer-term stay. It seemed like most of the guests were Russian and enjoying themselves.

Sydney was there whenever we needed something, and thanks to her the stay was pretty good. The hotel location is okay, with a decent little restaurant just down the hill and across the road where we had breakfast. The residence was much farther from the beach than we expected, so getting to the shore meant a ride. The bathroom smelled awful when we first arrived. The climb up the hill was intense, one of the steepest I've seen, and I couldn't believe our little 150 made it. The pool is down another steep hill and is very small. I'd want to be closer to the beach and have a better pool, so I'm not sure I'd stay here again.

The sunrise and that amazing view are what you're paying for, and with the private pool and full kitchen, I thought it was worth it. Some units also have washing machines, and the TV had plenty to watch. Staff answered my texts quickly every time. The place is old, and sometimes the water just cuts out without anyone letting you know. There can be bugs and wildlife too, but hey, you're in the jungle. It's on a very steep hill, so you need experience riding a bike or driving a car up and down it. The kitchens do have ovens, pots and pans.

I spent a month here and was happy every day. The balcony view was amazing, and the room was roomy and really comfortable. I loved unwinding in the outdoor bathtub. Khun Pu looked after me so well, and the housekeeping crew did a great job each day. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Getting to the location can be a little tricky, but for the room, view and price, it was absolutely worth it.
