Viva Vacation Resort

We spent three days here with family and enjoyed the peaceful, private feel. There are only 11 houses on the grounds, which are pretty and well maintained, and a few lovely cats live there too. Our villa was spacious, and the staff were welcoming, friendly, and always smiling. The beach is calm and nice, with two hammocks and enough loungers. There’s also a pool, beach bar, and restaurant. Free bicycles are available, and the nearest 7/11 is about 900 m away. Grab can be used for food or transport. Breakfast was decent, though filling out the paper and waiting for the main dish took a while. The place is old but clean. Our shower and bathtub didn’t work properly, and the hot water kept cutting out, which was a real problem with a baby. Staff fixed it quickly when we called, but the issue returned in the evenings. I also had a beer at the bar, and it was the most expensive one we came across during our 1-month trip in Thailand. Even with those issues, we had a good stay. For a spacious, quiet holiday, it’s a good option and feels like real, authentic Thailand.

The room was absolutely massive, and the hotel grounds were well kept. The staff were amazing too. As a solo traveller, though, the location was a downside: it meant a long walk to find food or a beer, and since it was low season, lots of places were closed. I think couples or families would have a great stay.

The beach was quiet, and the bed was comfortable. Our huge rooms had a lovely Thai style, and the gardens were beautiful and well cared for. The staff were great, and we enjoyed being away from everything for a couple of days. The restaurant was good for lunch and dinner.

The pool was a real highlight: large, clean, beautiful, and well looked after, with a lovely sea view. The sunsets were stunning too. At low tide in the morning you can walk further out into the sea, but the water here isn’t especially inviting for swimming. The beachfront restaurant was fantastic for drinks, lunch, or dinner. I’d recommend booking a table for sunset, it made for a memorable evening. This is a nice, peaceful place for couples or families, though it’s not the spot for partying. The rooms are spacious and have what you need, but the furnishings are a bit old and the property could use renovation. Breakfast was simple but enough. For trips into town or elsewhere, you can book a taxi through Grab or reception, or use a bicycle. The grounds show their age, but the price felt fair. The pool and sunsets were the best parts.
