Weekender Resort

The location alone doesn’t make this price worthwhile. We paid 90€ a night for a standard room that was massively run down and clearly not maintained to that level. In my opinion, it’s worth about 40€ a night at best. The pool was neglected and broken in several ways: missing tiles, loose cables going into the water, and poor maintenance. Breakfast was extremely disappointing, with fewer and worse options than even a basic hostel in the EU. I rarely write negative reviews, but I’m making an exception to warn travelers not to book at the price we paid. Plenty of Samui accommodation is overpriced, but this one stands out in a bad way. Around Lamai Beach, the atmosphere has changed a lot too. It seems to cater mostly to retirement couples aged 60+ and sex tourists, with very few families or younger travelers. That may or may not matter to you. There used to be much better options on the island.

The rooms are dark, and the premium room we stayed in had little space to hang clothes, with no hooks or shelves in the bathroom. The beds are extremely hard. Still, I highly recommend the place. It’s clean and child-friendly, with a calm atmosphere for all ages. The location is very good: close to the beach, several pools, outdoor showers, restaurants, and shops, but far enough away to stay quiet depending on room type. Breakfast was mediocre but adequate. Bar and restaurant staff were friendly, though reception wasn’t always as service-minded.

We went with a standard room because it was cheaper and found it very comfortable, with air conditioning, a balcony, coffee-making facilities, and a safe. The hotel is in the heart of Lmi Beach, Koh Samui, and was a really good choice. The staff were all amazing. We also used the fitness room, which was okay, and the stunning beach-facing pool, with plenty of loungers and sun umbrellas. They have more upmarket bungalows and luxury rooms as well.

The water in the room showers and pool was salty, the cleaning was poor, prices were unreasonably high, and the beach was dirty. When I asked why salty water was leaking into my room, they immediately offered to refund me and told me to find another hotel, on December 30th. Management knew perfectly well that finding a room for those dates was impossible. Book here if you want to get all your nerves.
