I've stayed here four times now, and each visit has been just as good. The cafe serves a great range of Western and Thai food at affordable prices for a beach location. The rooms are right on the beach, and most balconies have a sea view. It's fun watching the boats come and go, people watching, and meeting other guests, many of whom are here for the dive school next door. The rooms are very clean and smell fresh, and the cleaning ladies are great. I tipped them often. It's an ideal location if you want to walk to everything, including the ferry on and off the island. The place is Western-owned, so you can expect a level of comfort and service that's hard to find on a remote island in Thailand.

I enjoyed my six-night stay. The hotel sits right by Sairee Beach in a relaxed area, and the Black Turtle dive center is right next door, which makes it great for divers. There were some super tiny ants in the room, but otherwise everything was fine. The pier, several restaurants, and a 7/11 are all just a few minutes' walk away. Don't expect a five-star resort and you'll be fine.

Being right by the dive centre made my 10 days of diving on Koh Tao so easy. We also had a sea view from the veranda, with a cafe and restaurant close by. The staff were lovely and always ready to help. I had a brilliant stay and would come back without hesitation. Thanks, lovely Ananda people. X

Breakfast came with the stay and was served next door at Breeze Bar. The staff there were friendly, and the food was tasty and convenient. Ananda Villa itself was comfortable, well cared for, and in a great spot. The woman who runs it was especially warm and kind. I'd happily recommend staying here.

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, and they left two bottles of water each day. It was easy to get around from here, with the pier nearby, Sairee beach within walking distance, and lots of restaurants close by. My main gripe was that the room wasn't cleaned daily, so sand kept piling up on the floor. There was also a small bloodstain on my sheets.
