Koh Tao Heights Exclusive Apartments

The view is great, and the area is very quiet. I spent about a week here and was quite satisfied overall. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. I wasn't so happy with the room cleaning. It seemed they only made the bed and left fresh bath and hand towels. Laundry was available, and I was told my clothes would be brought to the room the next day, which would have been fine. But I couldn't understand why my freshly washed laundry ended up lying in the street in front of reception.

The sunset views were beautiful, and the sea view was unreal. Koh Tao Heights was clean and well-equipped, and we had a lovely stay. The hill up to the hotel is incredibly steep, though, so going in and out during the day felt like a real workout. It does keep you fit! I'd suggest renting a moped, since taxis on this island cost more than in other parts of Thailand. Even so, we highly recommend Koh Tao Heights. It was absolutely stunning.

The guidebook was a nice touch, and after a long day out we ordered delivery from one of its places, which was really good. Staff were friendly and helpful, and we booked an amazing snorkeling tour through the hotel. The apartment had lots of useful things, like tea and coffee, shower gel and bug spray for the balcony. They left new water bottles and cleaned the room daily. These are really nice luxury apartments up in the Koh Tao jungle, with an incredible view and very good value for money. You can often sit and watch Thai squirrels in the branches nearby. Just be ready for an extremely steep hill. My partner and I don't rent scooters, so walking up was quite a tough hike. There are also some dogs at the top that bark at you, though they're friendly once they meet you. They can arrange taxis if you don't want to hike, but that can get expensive every day.

The staff were very kind and helpful, and the villa itself is nice, in a good location with beautiful, though not overwhelming, views. The bay is noisy, with motor boats in the daytime and beach parties at night, so it's not for people who really want quiet and peace. Outside, the furnishings are quite worn, as the photos show. The sunbed cushions were brittle and worn through, there were no cushions on the outdoor chairs, and we couldn't get comfortable chairs even after asking. The pool is small and has no ladders. At more than $250 a day, we expected better. The price-quality ratio is a problem, and we got much better for that money. We wouldn't choose this place again. P.S. We found the chair cushions after publishing the review. The staff made a big effort to meet our wishes, thanks for that!
