The Ozo Koh Tao

We were moved to another property from the same provider when we arrived, without being told in advance, even though we had booked The Ozo Koh Tao. That lack of transparency was disappointing since people choose a particular hotel for a reason. Construction noise started around 8:30 AM and continued until about 6:00 PM each day, affecting every room and making the stay much less comfortable. The room itself was clean and the hotel’s general condition was acceptable, but the service around our complaint wasn’t satisfactory. The receptionist seemed annoyed, and we didn’t feel taken seriously. No solution or compensation was offered at the property. The issue was only dealt with after we contacted Agoda. Because of the unannounced relocation, the daily noise and how our concerns were handled, we can’t rate the stay higher. „Mar ozo Koh-Tao“ belongs to the same provider as „the ozo kohtao“!!! 13.02.2026: Update after the hotel’s response: We understand that construction work can happen, but the main issue is still that we weren’t told about the relocation beforehand. We only found out on arrival, during high season when there were very few alternative places to stay, so we had no realistic chance to choose another hotel. That made the situation especially frustrating. There was also significant construction noise from around 8:30 AM every morning. After reviewing the case, Agoda granted a 20% refund, and we appreciate their help resolving it. Guests should be told about relocations and ongoing construction before arrival so they can decide with that information.
