Doungta Anda Hotel

The hotel is split into two parts and has a large parking area. As I remember, it was finished in January 2017, so everything was new. Some rooms are very big and have a kitchen niche; the medium-sized balconies have no chairs, but you can ask for some. There’s a good pool with a large area for children, and the facilities overall are good. The hotel is about 3 km from city town, and for now the restaurant is only open for breakfast. My complaint is about the staff, especially at the front desk. It’s okay if they can’t speak English, but they should be trained to be polite and courteous.

We stayed for two days while extending our visa and, despite the reviews, it wasn’t that bad. The room was huge, with an extra space containing a sofa, boiler, and fridge. The outdoor area worked for us, and the kids spent some great hours there. We rented scooters from the hotel for 250 baht each to get around. We bought bread and jam and made our own breakfast. The downside was the poor English spoken by staff and really bad WiFi in our room.

The bed was hard, and there were lots of black ants on the wardrobe and table. During our three-day stay, we had no water in the morning on two days, and staff didn’t believe us. Water only came back at night. The pool was dirty, with yellowish water and no maintenance. I wouldn’t recommend staying for long.

The staff were very helpful and friendly, and we paid almost nothing for the room, but it still wasn’t worth it. The location was poor, far from everything. The pool was in bad shape, with unclean water and damaged features. The pictures must be 10 years old. The room smelled bad and had spider webs in every corner.
