Hello KR Mansion

I only stopped here to catch a van to Khao Sok, and wouldn't come back for anything else. The staff were really rude. They first served noodle soup instead of the fried noodles I ordered, then tried to talk me into eating it in 100-degree heat. The dish they eventually brought was below average, with far too much vinegar and not much else. About the ride: I was told there would be two stops, but the driver pulled over 18 times to pick up locals, including his girlfriend, who got the front row. Loud Thai dance music played the whole way. After dropping them off, he video-chatted with one of them while driving like a lunatic on dangerous roads. Never again.

The location is convenient: the airport bus stops here, and buses to Koh Lanta leave from here too. That's probably why the place keeps going. It's one of only two restaurants on the block. Thai food isn't all overpriced, but the menu is limited. Noodles are average price, while the curries cost too much and don't come with rice. The pad Thai was mediocre, gummy, and missing the right flavors; the noodle soup was bland too. Don't book transport here. We paid 400 baht for a bus to Koh Lanta that took five hours. Walking around town, we found a ferry that takes 2.5 hours and can cost as little as 250 baht.

They wasted half my day and still tried to rip me off. The staff were rude, charged more than we had agreed for a ride, and were extremely late both picking me up and dropping me off. They kept leaving me at random places to wait ages for another ride.

We booked a van to Khao Sok through them, but what we got wasn't what they had sold us. The people were very unfriendly.
