Hogwortz Hostel Krabi

😁👍 Such a relaxed, social place. The guests are friendly and considerate, the facilities are comfy, and the staff are amazing. The location's perfect, just a walk from Riverside, with its art, sculptures, boat tours, children's park, camping, bathrooms, food, and nice atmosphere day and night. Great for new travelers, nomads with the perfect wi-fi, and backpackers.

The room was clean and roomy, and the air conditioning was nice and cold. But if you're in the top bunk, your roommate's bed light shines right at you because there's no curtain between the bunks. The showers with broken heaters leave you with cold baths, and the toilets were always dirty, with poop stains. Internet barely worked in the room, though it was good in the lobby. I booked through Airbnb and asked for at least one lower bunk because my mom was with me. They confirmed it, then said at check-in it wasn't available and we had no choice.

It was a nice place, and nearly empty when I visited. The staff were pretty laid-back, but less friendly than the Thai hospitality I'd found elsewhere in Thailand. The bathroom doors had no knobs, which made them awkward to open and close, especially with wet hands. I only noticed the balcony sink on my second day. Bring your own padlocks for the lockers.

A quiet, modern, clean hostel in a good spot, and the price felt fair for what's included. The beds are neat and made me think of a big overnight train. Downstairs, the main area has lovely Harry Potter scene pictures, though it could use a bit more Hogwarts flair.
