Maritime Park & Spa Resort

Krabi Maritime Resort has a character all its own. We loved the vintage feel, like going back to the late 90's or early 2000s, and found it a peaceful escape from mainstream modern hotels. It might feel dated to some, but that was part of the appeal for us. The property is lush and green, with stunning views of the vegetation-covered cliffs. The pond with water lilies was a highlight, and guests can take a kayak out for free. Complimentary bicycles were handy for riding around the property or over to the nearby 7-Eleven. Our room was spotless, well equipped with a fridge and minibar, and had very comfortable beds. The pool area was beautifully designed and clean. Reception and housekeeping were kind and welcoming, and the attention to detail showed throughout. Breakfast was generous and tasty, and the value was outstanding. We'd happily recommend it. If you like charm, nature, tranquility, and a beautiful setting, this place is a great fit, though it may not suit those who want an ultra-modern hotel. We'll definitely come back.

The resort itself was beautiful, with nature all around, a good pool, a lotus lake where you can kayak, and good breakfast. The place feels ancient, cultural, modern, and a bit of everything. The film festival was sooook good, with nice romantic movies, top notch restaurants stalls, real estate, families, teenagers, situationship blind date. It was the best property I've ever visited, and I didn't want to leave. Everyone at reception was polite and so good, except the manager. I don't want to name them here, but the staff will know what I mean from what I said at checkout. Being polite matters most in hospitality. If this reaches the owner, hats off for the vision behind developing Krabi Maritime Resort years ago. Love you Krabi Maritime Resort ❤️

The hotel's quite a long way from the tourist spots and town, and it's not near the beach. The walk is easier at night when it's cooler, but I wouldn't do it in the daytime. I got caught in sudden rain without an umbrella, and there was no shelter for a long stretch. You can order a Grab taxi, though the wait can be long. The hotel runs a van to the Mud Crab statue in town from the lobby at 10am and 3pm for 50b. There's a 7-Eleven nearest the hotel, and a small hotel tuktuk can take you to the end of the road if you wait. No spa or massage is available at the hotel, while self-service laundry at Otteri is a short walk away. Staff were a real bright spot. Reception spoke excellent English, housekeeping spoke a little but enough, and everyone was charming, helpful, and kind. Our maid checked that we had everything we needed. The building is old but seems to have been refurbished fairly recently. The rooms were okay, and the grounds were pretty, with a large lotus lake, greenery, old trees, frangipani, and bougainvillea. Our toilet developed a leak at the base and the room started smelling of sewage. The hotel was full so we couldn't change rooms, but reception got it repaired promptly. I had to leave the room for a few hours, though it was taken care of quite quickly. The gym is tiny and meagre, and you have to ask reception to switch on the air conditioning. I understand they want to save energy, but even after repeated requests, sometimes nobody came. Working out in a hot glass box with barely any ventilation, no fan, and sun coming through the windows felt unpleasant and unsafe. The large saunas were never switched on either. Do you really need a sauna when you're already exercising in a heated glass box? Lol. The restaurant looked nice and its staff were sweet, but the food wasn't good. We did better heading into town for meals, and I even found better lunches at the 7-Eleven ready meals.

One of the best resorts I've visited. Definitely try the kayaking. The food wasn't as expensive as at other 4 star resorts, and they serve food and drinks by the pool. It's a great place to relax with friends or family. Have a look around the whole resort, and make use of the complimentary guide provided in most rooms.
