Sunda Resort Krabi

It was lovely having a bungalow by the pool instead of a sterile hotel for a change. The bungalows are spacious and comfy, with lots of greenery and very friendly dogs that come sit on your porch. We only stayed one night, and the price was very reasonable. Keep the doors shut because of mosquitoes. The walk to the main hub of Aonang bars and restaurants is quite far.

The staff are really nice and helpful, and the coast is about a 15-minute walk away. There’s a strong tropical feel, with lots of plants and elevated paths that are great to walk along. Breakfast is okay, mostly Western food. The resort may have seen better days, though, and a few things could be improved. In the bungalows, the step between bathroom and room is dangerously high, and the round faucet handles are hard to turn once your hands are covered in sunscreen. The terraces are lovely, but sit too close together without privacy. A dividing wall, ideally a green bush to suit the natural feel, would make them more enjoyable.

The resort has a relaxing feel, with friendly cats around that made our stay extra nice. Staff were kind, helpful, and welcoming, and we found it comfortable and pleasant. The location is convenient, very close to Ao Nang night market and the beach. I’d definitely recommend Sunday Resort.

We were only about 700m, or a 10-minute walk, from the Aoo Nang market, with its unique, quality things and souvenirs. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choices for people from around the world. The resort has an unusual elevated wooden path leading to the rooms. When we checked in, the staff asked us to fill out a couple of forms and explained what they contained, which was good of them. We stayed two days, and the staff were friendly, cooperative, and helpful. A very good experience.
