The White Pearl Hotel

I visited in low season and had a room at the back, which was peaceful and very quiet. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was small but clean, with a smart TV, AC, fridge, and big window. There’s free coffee and other things in the lobby, plus a kebob stand selling 100 Baht wraps. Aroi maak!

It’s a cozy, quiet, safe, and comfortable place, and I think it’s underrated for its location. The rooms are a good size, though definitely budget style, and the price feels worth it. If safety and comfort are priorities on a budget, this place takes the cake. There’s no daily cleaning or amenities, but otherwise it was perfect. I’ll come back.

The beds are extremely firm, so that’s something to know before booking. You can’t pay by card, but there’s an ATM at the 7/11 across the street, and the room is cheap enough that paying cash wasn’t a big hassle. It’s a little far from the shopping, though Bolt rides are cheap. The building is very nice, and our room was clean and spacious. The water temperature and pressure were good, and the elevator was convenient. I also appreciated the feminine hygiene product disposal bags in the bathroom. Would recommend staying here.

The room was very big and clean, and the bathroom was spacious and clean too. The staff were friendly, but we had a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly, so we had to use a plunger every day. They said they’d send someone to fix it, but never did. The bed was like sleeping on a rock, very uncomfortable. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Krabi town and far from Ao Nang. A daily Grab trip there and back would cost 20 euros. They also advertised a restaurant and swimming pool, which they don’t have, and said in the name that they were located in Ao Nang, which wasn’t true either. Disappointed. I wouldn’t stay again.
