Sand Dance Hotel

A nice boutique hotel in Kui Buri, not far from the national park. It’s close to the main road and seafood restaurants on the beach. The pool is great, and the staff are friendly.

The hotel looked new and comfortable when I first saw it, but the stay quickly became one of the most unsettling I’ve had. We were the only guests that night, and around midnight all the electricity went out. There was no one at reception or any staff available to help. Only a security guard was there, and he seemed untrained and unsure what to do. The hotel is in a fairly isolated area, and with no power, light, or staff, we felt extremely unsafe. There was no air conditioning, and most of us were young women traveling together, which made us feel even more vulnerable. We called the police in case something happened. We had to leave that night without proper rest or support, then find and pay for another hotel at short notice. It was exhausting and frustrating. No paying guest should be left alone in the dark without help. I’m deeply disappointed and hope Agoda investigates this property thoroughly. Guest safety must come first.

The TV was awkwardly placed in a corner, so it was hard to watch from bed, and the air conditioner made a bit of noise. Still, my stay was great. The room was modern, spacious, and clean, with a comfortable bed and a well-appointed bathroom. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere clean and comfortable, as long as you know about those TV and AC issues.

The rooms are new and clean, though very small, and the service is good. There’s no elevator, so heavy luggage is a problem. Breakfast is simple, and you need to choose from four options the night before.
