Kua Car Camp

Kua Car Camp is compact, private and a surprisingly good stop for solo travellers passing through Lampang. I found it practical and well priced, with a comfy bed, strong A/C, hot shower in a private bathroom, fast Wi-Fi and a little TV for winding down after a road trip. It’s clean and quiet, and there’s even a car wash on site, so your vehicle can get cleaned while you freshen up. The capsule is small, as you’d expect, so it may not suit someone who feels claustrophobic or wants lots of room to move around. The surrounding area is more functional than scenic, and there are no sweeping views or robe-and-room-service comforts. I was happy to use it as a place to recharge and get moving again. The capsule rooms cost 250 THB, and the rooms are clean with affordable prices and easy booking. The shared bathroom is clean and has hot water. Guests can relax outside, where chairs and storage boxes are available.

The owner was friendly and informal, and you can book by phone and pay directly. I usually feel uneasy staying somewhere else, but I felt relaxed here. The room was lovely and private, with a clean bathroom, hot water, soap and shampoo, plus a nice chill-out area. Sound carries because it isn’t very well insulated, and there’s steady traffic noise, but it didn’t disturb me while I slept. Perfect!

The owner is super kind, and the capsule room is adorable. Two people can stay for just 250 baht, which is incredibly cheap. It’s close to the market for finding food and not far from tourist attractions. The weather is great, and the bathroom is clean. A million thumbs up, highly recommend!
